Slashing of the move booking time in half through introduction of a new feature

Movinga • 2019

Overview

Movinga is an online relocation platform. The people who conducted the move (called partners or hauliers) used a web-app called the Partner App.

A new feature was created to make the life of the Movinga Ops agents ( they assign the move to partners) easier.

What did I do?

✅ Ideation sessions with the team and stakeholders.

✅ Creating concepts and user flows to present to the Ops team.

✅ Iterate based on feedback.

✅ Final high fidelity mockups

What is an 'Offer'?

Some moves were not picked up by the partners, due to various reasons (not a good price, or too complex of a move etc.). These moves were sold to the partners manually at a lower margin (for Movinga) and hence they were called Offers.

The goal

Reduce Ops Agent’s work, and the time taken to assign the move by auto dispatching these moves, sending them as offers to many partners.

Earlier workflow and it's problems

Manual dispatching

Since the process was not automated, the move dispatch had to be done manually

Possibility of bargaining

A phone conversation to book the move always led to the movers negotiating the price

Time consuming

Only one offer could be sent to a partner at a time, and if they reject, another one had to be found and so on...

New workflow

New interfaces

The new workflow resulted in new features for the Ops-tool (the web app used by ops agents) and the Partner App

New "Send offer" interface in the Ops-tool

The Partner App interface
